Nine years as a professional stand-up comedian taught me the hardest lesson in business: you can't fake a connection with an audience. You earn it, or you lose the room.
I took that lesson into a 25-year executive career — relaunching brands, rebuilding growth organizations, and driving award-winning campaigns for Fortune 500 firms, publicly traded global companies, and one of the nation's largest social enterprises. Along the way I founded the country's only disability-focused job helpline and made accessibility a competitive advantage, because growth that leaves people out isn't growth. It's a leak.
